Here at Trinity Valley we offer time with horses.
Being around horses gives us opportunities for confidence building. learning and growth, mindfulness, play and exploration and physical exercise- who needs the gym when you have a horse!
We offer horse lessons, horse therapy sessions and holiday programmes for all ages and abilities in our outdoor arena and surrounding facilities.
Our lesson barn is located in rural Pyes Pa, on the outskirts of Tauranga, in the beautiful Bay of Plenty.
Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment for everyone.
About us...
Trinity Valley was established over 20 years ago by Pete and Carla Townsend. Pete and Carla have grown Trinity Valley over the years to become a trusted equine learning facility. Whilst Pete and Carla have taken a step back from the day to day running of the barn, they still play an active role in the business.

Anne McNabb
Barn Manager and Instructor
About: Anne has been with Trinity Valley for 7 years. She has a love for horses and has previous experience working with children with special needs in the education sector. Anne is particularly interested in equine body work.

Steph Feringa
Instructor
About: Steph joined us as an instructor in 2022 after having regular lessons with us. Steph is originally from Queensland, Australia and is the proud and loving owner of her horse, Mixie. Steph brings a caring and empathetic nature to her teaching.
Fun fact: Favourite colour is pink

Roxanne Milson
Instructor
About: Roxanne joined us as an instructor several years ago, with previous riding experience in Australia and at Trinity Valley. Roxanne is the proud owner of Amarni and Remy.
Fun fact: Roxanne is a self-established artist, creating digital and mixed media artworks.

Amelia McNabb
Equine and Media Manager
About: Amelia has been working at Trinity Valley since 2020. She is responsible for the day to day horse care, feeding and Trinity Valley social media. Amelia was a former student of Pete's back in 2007 and now owns Phoenix and Munro, former Trinity Valley horses.
Fun fact: Amelia is a singer and musician.

Pete Townsend
Business co-owner
About: Pete founded the business with his wife Carla and teaches occasionally as one of our instructors. Pete is an ex-showjumper and has worked professionally training horses in the USA and NZ.

Tie Up Area
Designated Tie Up Area as you enter the property.
We teach how to groom and tack up your horse.
Ramp Access / Mounting Block
Our ramp to mounting block provides easy access for riding clients.
Sand Arena
Outdoor sand arena, suitable for all disciplines including horsemanship, dressage, jumping and western riding.
Barn Tack Room
Come into our barn tack room on arrival where our office is situated. Riding helmets and equipment are provided.
