Riding Lessons, Horsemanship and Therapy

At Trinity Valley we provide a safe place for people of all ages to learn how to ride a horse.

horse riding lessons TaurangaWe are situated on Belk Road South, Pyes Pa, only 10 minutes drive from The Lakes and 15 minutes drive from Greerton. We have seven lesson horses of mixed ages, sizes,  breeds and temperaments and we cater for all ages and abilities. We provide private riding lessons, small group (maximum of four people) lessons for intermediate and advanced riders, individual and semi-private (two people) lessons for beginner riders and private sessions for therapy with the horses and other animals.

In our horse riding lessons we teach  English, Western and Natural Horsemanship. As you progress you will learn disciplines such as Dressage, Show Jumping, Western Performance, Natural Horsemanship (including bareback riding and groundwork, building a relationship and playing games with your horse).

Our passion is for people to learn and understand how horses think and behave so both horse and rider gets the most out of the experience.

Washing a horseWe encourage our riders not to just come and learn how to ride but to learn all aspects of horsemanship, including caring for and communicating with horses and to master all of the skills involved in looking after a horse.

This is all done in a happy and relaxed environment with the emphasis on it being a fun and rewarding experience for both horse and rider.

We also offer specialised private therapy sessions for people to come and work with the horses and other animals and individual counselling with Carla (Dip. Counselling). Carla specialises in working with issues around anxiety, depression, fear and low self-esteem.
