Lesson Information

What we offer

Our philosophy at Trinity Valley is to educate about the horse as a whole, offer people time with a horse, think about relationships with a horse, and learn to ride a horse with skills to benefit both horse and rider. Learning horse communication and behaviour is integral to knowing how your horse thinks on the ground and whilst being ridden.

Within our lessons, with our horses, we cover different equine disciplines with the above philosophies in mind - horsemanship, dressage, western, low-level jumping and therapy with horses sessions for those recovering from accidents and/or trauma. Lessons are adapted for age and ability. For the welfare of the horses, we do have a rider weight limit policy of 100kgs.

We offer

  • 20 minute brush and ride experiences for under 5 year olds

  • Horse lessons for ages 5+ years with a private instructor and/or group lessons with an instructor

  • Horse therapy sessions

  • School holiday programmes

Your first lesson with us...

Your first lesson with us is a private 30 minute assessment lesson, charged at full price.

This assessment lesson is a way for us to find out about you, your ability and for you to get to know us.

Please note an assessment lesson must be booked with us prior to you being offered a regular term private or group horse lesson regardless of previous experience (this does not apply for therapy sessions). Priority for spaces is given to those on our waiting list who have done an assessment lesson.

Term lessons

These are weekly horse lessons that you commit to for approximately 10 weeks, starting at the beginning of a school term.

These are offered at a term discounted rate.

Fortnightly term lessons can be arranged.

Casual lessons

These are 'one-off' lessons or for those who cannot commit to a full term. These are charged at our full rates.

See our prices below...

These are our ability levels:

Beginners

Are those with little or no horse experience.

Beginners are required to have at least one term of private 'one-on-one' lessons before they can be considered for a group lesson.

Novice/Intermediate

Are those with some horse experience, who are able to interact with a horse independently, who can ride a horse with little assistance.

Advanced

Are those with several years of horsemanship knowledge and riding experience.
